The holiday home "Orizzonte", is located in Pioppi, a small village in the municipality of Pollica. The american scientist Keys lived for 40 years here and carried out a detailed study about the diet of the local population, arriving at the formulation of a lifestyle that is now known throughout the world and goes by the name of "Mediterranean Diet". Thanks to the work of Keys and his collaborators, Pioppi is the place of origin of the "Mediterranean Diet".
The holiday home with 5 independent flats, together with the flat we have in the centre of Pioppi, allows you to walk to the beaches and to Palazzo Vinciprova, the latter being the seat of the Living Museum of the Sea and Mediterranean Food. In Pioppi, over the years, a kind of "natural swimming pool" has formed, a sea area protected by a reef that guarantees a calm sea without currents and is therefore also suitable for children. Experienced swimmers and snorkelers can enjoy the outer part of the reef, with all the underwater wonders of this sea, which for years has been awarded the Blue Flag, which only flies where the sea and beaches are pristine. For lovers of water sports, there is a windsurfing school in Pioppi. A great opportunity for surfing and paddling in freedom. The excellent location makes it easy to reach the main tourist destinations of Cilento.
